The wonderful Camping Les Coteaux du Lac is situated in a quiet and wooded area at the Chemillé lake. From here it is not far to the castles of the Loire, the royal town of Loches, the ZooParc de Beauval, the most beautiful Zoo of France (more than 3000 animals). The campsite is equipped with all amenities.

More grass on pitch and less of a slope as during a very rainy week our pitch had a large puddle all across it

This is what a campsite should be. Every detail had been thought about. Emmanuel and his family couldn’t have been more helpful. They clearly enjoy what they do and take a lot of pride in doing it to a very high standard. We made a last minute booking and had a lovely pitch with a lake view. Facilities were clean and well thought out. There was a nice range of entertainments and activities put on and excellent services offered. We’d highly recommend!
There is only one gate from the campsite to the lake, or you have to walk all the way round the site to get to the lake. The lake is a little green and murky, so not brilliant for swimming however provides a lovely setting for the site.

Quiet, clean, friendly site. We were in our Motorhome and the pitch was very large and private. We used our paddle board and enjoyed the lake. Nearby Montresor is lovely too. Bread and pastries to order daily. Pizzas looked great too, although we didn’t try one.
Would benefit from a cafe/bar. There are a lot of chairs tables and umbrellas in an area by the pool, but they don’t seem to be used.

Fabulous welcome, excellent hosts, good size pitches with hedges
Drainage at water tap points also no emptying facility for motorhome grey waste.
