Ars-en-Ré is a charming village in the west of the beautiful island of Île de Ré. This gem is located opposite the mainland French city of La Rochelle and is teeming with beautiful nature. The luxury family campsite Le Cormoran has everything you need as a camper with children: two heated swimming pools, a nice restaurant, a friendly children's club and an ideal location just 400 metres from the coast. It is rural but also close to charming villages and small towns, a number of which are easily accessible via the bike paths on the island.

My wife and I spent twenty-three nights here at Camping Le Cormoran in our touring caravan. The pitches are a good size with water and electricity on every pitch but no waste water drainage. The Toilet, shower and washing up facilities are excellent. The staff are friendly, and helpful and speak good English when my limited grasp of French runs out. The heated swimming pool complex is definitely the best we've seen. The campsite is located right next to a picturesque forest with plenty of walking trails. The nearest beach is only a ten-minute, easy walk away. The lovely town of Ars En Re with its daily market is only half a mile away. Camping Le Cormoran is ideally located to explore the Ile De Re.
