At the edge of the Indre region, on the banks of the river of the same name, lies Camping Le Val Vert en Berry. This small-scale family campsite - which has the European Ecolabel and the Camping Quality label - is located in a green valley a few kilometres from the charming village of Le Châtre. The surroundings served as inspiration for the French writer George Sand in the eighteenth century. Come and visit us and you will soon see why she was so attached to this stitch.

Very clean and modern facilities. Calm and quiet. Very good pitches. A nice welcome from Clare. A super restaurant and best steak I've ever had in France!! Very well presented campsite...Daniel and Clare have just finished their FIRST season...well done and best of luck for the future
As a disabled person in a caravan, I found emptying the chemical toilet very difficult and I'm sure Daniel will get this sorted out in the closed season.

A beautiful campsite close to walks either into town along the river or another direction. The manager's were really friendly and helpful making our stay a delightful memory. We'd definitely come back again and stay longer

Great location, wonderful welcome Facilities modern, clean and well maintained. Restaurant onside, menu a little limited but well priced and appetising. Will certainly be back!
A "special" daily on the restaurant menu might be an idea but everything good

Very large site within the nature. Quite well shadowed under a big tree. The only problem does not depend on the camping site: heat wave. Very good restaurant
