This campsite is located in the Loire Valley, just a few kilometres from the popular Loire à Vélo cycle route, in the town of Saint-Avertin. This is a suburb of the larger city of Tours, the centre of which is about five kilometres from the campsite. While Camping Tours Val de Loire Onlycamp thus has a nice central location, you will still be camping in a quiet spot along the banks of the River Cher. This campsite attracts campers from around the world. Many of them are in transit. The campsite is located near the exit of the A10 motorway (Paris-Bordeaux).

Located on the river Cher at 400m from the highway A10 (Paris - Bordeaux) near the city centre of Tours. Excellent transit camp site.

The site is in a nice location and well placed for access
The showers are not good. The one I used was like someone dribbling water on me. The block was cold and unwelcoming. The toilets are a row of doors in effect all outside. The majority have no loo roll and don’t seem to be cleaned with any degree of frequency. Our previous site the toilets were cleaned each day and all had toilet paper. I am only comparing to sores we stayed on this visit and by far this was the worst site. We were due to stay two days but left after the first and stayed on an aire, which had facilities, all of which were far better than this site.

Good sized pitch and good washroom
Had to find pitch with electric nearby when busy.

I'm seriously disappointed by this site. Came based on reviews. how is this 4*? not even close to that! segregated toilets locked in the evening so have to use horrible unisex ones. you'll need at least a 25m electricity cable. no water points, little shade. booked 2 nights, left after 1. won't be back.
