Camping Mille Étoiles

Everything was beyond my expectations. The friendly welcome from Natalie and Christophe set the tone for the stay. Lots of recommendations for things to do in the local area including booking a kayak trip on the river. Simple, tasty, evening meals. The safari tent we booked was much larger than we expected and very well equipped.

Very friendly staff, beautiful area for walking and the river was a perfect swimming spot.

The campsite is in a peaceful location full of wildlife with easy access to walks and a stunning viewpoint across the gorge. The hosts were really helpful and the facilities were great, including the games and on site restaurant. The steep walk down to the river was worth it for a nice morning or evening swim and we enjoyed seeing lots of nature too during our stay. Easy access to nearby sites such as the caves and also canoeing on the Ardeche.

Lovely peaceful stay among the green oak woods - views of the gorge . Friendly owners . Large pitches for Motorhomes. Snack bar providing simple meals .

Great for hikers - walk to gorge down steep sides of the gorge . Expensive .

Perfect little campsite ably run by Natalie and Christophe. Lovely setting in amongst the shady pines which was perfect for us being in a tent. Private grounds in the national park and a short but let’s not pretend, steep drop down to the gorge for a swim on what felt like a private beach. It’s a great place, nice bar/restaurant/seating area to relax in after your day out on the river it beautiful surroundings. Charming village of La Bastide du Virac on your doorstep too. If you want a laid back slice of camping heaven, this is the place… Thanks for a wonderful welcome and stay.
