L'Escapade campsite is tucked away in Cahagnolles, a tiny village in Normandy with a church and a handful of houses, and is the perfect peaceful location for your camping trip. Here you'll be camping along a lake that is great for both swimming and fishing. The partially terraced campsite has a park-like feel and very spacious pitches. The swimming pool on the campsite has a sliding roof, so you can still go for a refreshing dip in less than wonderful weather.

Quiet, picturesque, nice pool, big camping pitch, pleasant staff
Number and availability of toilets and showers. During our stay only 1 block was open and only 2x toilets and 3x showers available. Minimal food (eg bread) available from reception shop.

Everybody was very friendly and helpful; very nice location at a small pond for fishing and with some animals
The sanitary facilities were not working well and not well kept, especially the first block had hardly hot water, showers and some lights not working

We liked hearing the sounds of the birds, seeing the lovely open sky and found the camping ground nicely maintained. We also had a nice walk around the pond, which was a plus.
We did not enjoy the food we ordered at the restaurant, the pitch we were given was too close to a mobile home and it was a bit noisy in the night, the barrier only operated between 7-11 and we needed to leave the campsite at 6am for our ferry, the pool smelt a bit mouldy.

lovely site quiet lots facilities excellent covered pool excellent showers toilets fishing lake big level pitches apples everywhere can’t fault site definitely would come back
