Camping du Château is in the captivating town of Falaise, in the centre of Normandy (Calvados department). This quiet, small campsite is the ideal place to stay when visiting Falaise and its medieval castle and centre. There are also lovely walking and cycling routes in the surrounding area. Good to know: the opening times of the barrier coincide with the arrival and departure times of ferries from nearby Ouistreham.

Quiet camp site with flowers an with hedges marked pitches, beautiful view on the castle from the 11th century and at 500m from the medieval city centre.

Great campsite overlooking the castle and what a nice view. Easy walk into the town just slight uphill then mostly level. Would definitely stay again.
Recycling area needs emptying more often also bins need cleaning. Or washing they did smell abit.

The campsite is well laid out, location is perfect for getting to the old town and the views of the Chateau are fantastic. New and clean facilities were great and many of the plots for tents (including ours) were clearly spaced out with established hedges.
The communication with the site team when trying to pay the balance, following payment of the deposit was a struggle with reminders being sent and our responses not answered. We paid the balance on arrival with no problems. Site maintenance and a general tidy up would be good, there was the remains of a pigeon on the road for the entirety of our stay. The provision of toilet roll in the toilets would be great.

Very convenient from ferry. Close to town. Love the view of the castle. Facilities good and clean. Nice walks.

Lovely facilities, very clean and plenty of room. Beautiful site with trees, bushes and flowers. Great view of the castle and calming surroundings.
