De streek ten zuidwesten van Bordeaux is beroemd is om zijn prachtige natuur en heerlijke klimaat. Dennenbossen, de oceaan en het kustgebied met z'n prachtige baaien en meren bepalen hier de sfeer. Camping Le Braou ligt bij het plaatsje Audenge, aan de Baai van Arcachon. Je kampeert hier midden in Regionaal Natuurpark Les Landes de Gascogne. De prachtige omgeving laat zich heel goed verkennen per fiets. De auto is handig om leuke bestemmingen te bezoeken die net een eindje verderop liggen, bijvoorbeeld de landtong van Cap Ferret, gelegen aan de andere kant van de baai.

Staff at reception very welcoming. Plenty of shade on pitches, needed for hot weather. Facilities at site fine but one shower block flooded and always had a pool of water. Our pitch was tree roots and pine needles, with mosquitoes! There was no bread service, nearest boulangerie 10 minutes walk. Restaurants and boulangerie in area very good. Enjoyed visiting the area and would visit again.
