On the French Atlantic coast, less than one hour from Nantes, is the de L’Hermitage du Dunes campsite located right by the sea. From the bar, and some of the camping pitches you have a breath-taking view over the ocean, which has very strong tides here. Local tip: gather your own seafood by ‘foot fishing’ on the beach.

Great area to cycle from and a lovely clean campsite with excellent facilities and a great pool area. The just was super helpful and very friendly.

Nice walk along the promenade into the village
Noise from the nearby playground late at night was a bit annoying on our first night but seemed quieter on others
