The 385 km long Romantic Road is one of the most popular tourist routes in Germany. The route follows the course of the river Main up to the German Alps and has been in existence since 1950. It goes without saying that the Camping Romantische Strasse is located on the eponymous route and certainly in Creglingen. Here you camp amidst the magnificent green surroundings of the Tauber Valley. During high season, the camping site is mainly visited by families with children. Outside high season, Camping Romantische Strasse is predominantly frequented by senior citizens.
Accommodation with hammocks
You will arrive at a well maintained, terraced camping site with many trees. These provide ample shade during the summer, which can sometimes be hot. There are several rental mobile homes on the camping site. They are modern, well kept and can accommodate four people. Three rooms here boast a unique feature: each room has two comfortable hammocks which are suspended in a special frame.
Spacious, shaded pitches
However, most guests arrive with their own tent, caravan or camper van. The camping site features plenty of space for these on large, shaded pitches. Some of these pitches are located next to the Herrgottsbach, a stream which runs across the length of the camping site.
Heated swimming pool
The camping site has a spacious covered and heated swimming pool, which incidentally, is also frequented by guests from outside the camping site. The reservoir in the vicinity offers ample opportunity for open water swimming.
Restaurant with beer terrace
The camping site restaurant serves a wide variety of dishes. A special feature is the spacious beer terrace, which offers delicious, German craft beer.
