Camping Höllensteinsee is a paradise on earth. The couple that manages the campsite, is full of enthusiasm to perfect this campsite. The campsite is in an idyllic location in the Bavarian Forest: on a promontory in a curving, wide section of the Regen River, where the lake is called the Höllensteinsee. Key words on the campsite: tranquillity, green and water.

Experience nature in optima forma

You can select your own pitch, level and not demarcated. There are some 150 pitches, half of which directly on the water. There are a large number of trees on the grounds, although the pitches are rather open. The sanitary building has the luxury of a hotel. This is an ideal campsite to experience nature, peace and fun! You can moor your canoe or kayak directly next to your pitch, so to speak.

Water activities

Camping guests consist largely of seekers of peace and nature such as anglers, swimmers and canoeists. In short: campers who like to enjoy themselves near water. In the holiday periods you will find many families and groups. Swimming and snorkelling in the lake is allowed. Favourite pastimes, however, are canoeing, rafting and fishing. Swimming in deep water is not recommended here, certainly not for the youngest swimmers. There is a pebble beach.

Catering

At the reception you will find a small canteen with limited menu. You can enjoy a meal and drinks at picnic tables under a canopy. There is not (as yet) a camping shop. Who knows..they may still build one. You can, however, get fresh bread.

Travelling party: Couple

Wir wollten uns erstmal den Platz anschauen und mussten feststellen, dass er abgesperrt war wie ein spießiger Kleingartenverein. Der Besitzer kommt hinter einen her, das Personal ist unfreundlich und überheblich. Das einzig gute ist der Platz selbst, denn er ist wirklich wunderschön. Alles andere ist übel.

Moderne neue Sanitäranlagen. Große Plätze. Landschaftlich wunderschön gelegen. Leider kein großer Badeplatz. Dafür für Kanus, Kajaks und SUPs ideal. Feuerschalen können für die Lagerromantik ausgeliehen werden.

Wir waren zu Pfingsten 2022 auf dem Campingplatz und sind total begeistert. Herrliche Landschaft, Kanus ausleihen bei fit&fun, wandern gehen Brötchenservice, Team absolut freundlich, modern, Sanitär auf dem höchsten Stand nichts zu bemängeln und für das Wetter kann ja niemand, wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder.

Wat een wondermooie camping geworden. Nieuwbouw van 2021 (rest nieuwe terrein plannen bijna klaar) en ligging maakt de camping tot een waar paradijs. Lijkt wel een luxevoorzieningen. Prachtig aangelegde ruime plaatsen. Veel met; tv-aansluiting eigen water en afvoermogelijkheid, alle voorzieningen voor campers. Kleine winkel, immbis enz. In een woord top. Staat op onze lijst van terugkomkampings.
