Campingplatz Bederkesa is a large, well maintained camping site, situated northeast of Bremerhaven and southeast of Cuxhaven. An ideal overnight stop when you are on your way to Scandinavia or when you want to explore the forests, lakes and marshes in the state of Lower Saxony. Cyclists and water sports enthusiasts are also at the right address here. Enjoy the large variety of dishes in camping restaurant 'Das Landhaus' and visit the nearby wellness centre Moor-Therme ‘Aqua Vitalis’.
Camping on the water
On the way to your camping pitch, you will notice that the camping site is larger than it seems at first glance. There are deciduous trees in various places and the camping pitches are spaciously laid out and numbered. Because of the trees and bushes it is easy to create a private spot or a spot in the shade. There are also large fields, where you can meet your fellow campers. Or try and get a camping pitch with a view of the lake.
For water sports enthusiasts
Campingplatz Bederkesa is located on Lake Bederkesa. It can easily be reached via the main road of the camping site. At the lake, there are a large number of water sports opportunities, such as pedal boating, boating and fishing. In addition, water sports enthusiasts can enjoy themselves on the 61.5 km long Elbe-Weser Waterway.
Explore the area
In high season the animation team is available to entertain children of up to twelve. On the edge of the camping site you will find an adventurous playground, including a large outdoor chess set and Bolzspiel (type of soccer). Explore the area? Hire a bicycle on the camping site and discover the variegation of forests, lakes and marshes with the extensive network of cycle paths. You can explore the Ahlen-Moor with the Moorbahn, a small train that drives through the region.
