Am Waldbad is a campsite without pretensions, situated in the hilly and wooded Weserbergland, 4 km from the town of Hameln. If you like camping and exploring, you will have a fantastic holiday here. A campsite with active amenities and a surrounding region with hills, forests, interesting towns, castles and villages are the ingredients for this.

On the edge of the forest

The campsite lives up to its name and is located at the edge of the forest adjacent to the swimming pool. The site is on a hill next to a large, open field. The campsite managers, the Meyer family, extend you a warm welcome on arrival. When you proceed to the camping field, you will pass the swimming pool and the section with the permanent accommodation units.

Select a pitch that you like

The open camping field looks well maintained and the pitches are not demarcated. Therefore, you can select a pitch that suits you. On this campsite you will come across families, couples and senior citizens. Teenagers will also enjoy themselves here.

Active and sporty

From the campsite you can reach the municipal swimming pool via a small pathway (not free of charge). On the campsite you can partake in volleyball, table tennis and soccer or play in the playground. Starting from the campsite there are several pathways inviting you to explore the beautiful Weserbergland on foot, by bicycle, or running.

Basic supplies

In the shop you can buy the most basic necessities. The restaurants serves good and simple meals. The basic sanitary facilities, clean and heated, lie at some 100 m from the camping field.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Liked - Clean and tidy site with good facilities. It is next to a pool which you have to pay for. The town of Hameln is around 4km away and well worth a visit.
Disliked - The reception is only open in the morning and afternoon.
