Camping Hümmlinger Land is just outside the town of Werlte in Emsland, a national region in the west of Lower Saxony. Here, in Naturpark Hümmling, you camp far from motorways and urban bustle. The various places of interest and numerous cycle paths and hiking trails in the area have much to offer. This very well-kept campsite attracts many seniors and families with (young) children.

Beautiful camping site with extraordinary accommodations

This is a clearly laid out campsite that has grouped together pitches, year pitches and accommodations. As a campsite visitor, you can select from neatly laid out touring pitches that vary in size. The pitches are separated by beech wood hedges. There is also a lovely meadow for campsite visitors with a tent.

Just before the barrier there is a small field with charming sleep barrels. And there are more types of unique accommodations. You can also stay overnight here in an authentic shepherd’s wagon or in a real tree tent – which is something between a hammock and a tent.

A game of Pit-Pat?

Plenty of campsites have billiards tables and mini golf courses, but did you know that there is a game that combines billiards with mini golf? It’s called Pit-Pat. The campsite’s delightful Pit-Pat course has eighteen challenging lanes mounted on tables. These lanes look a lot like ‘normal’ mini golf tracks. Using a billiard cue, try to sink the little ball into the hole with as few hits as possible. Good luck!

There is a great playground with a cable car, climbing facilities and other play equipment. A shop is located in the centre of the site with a lovely dining room next to it as well as the toilet facilities, which were fully renovated in 2023.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Stayed there for 2 separate nights while travelling through Germany with a camper. The toilets and showers are very well maintained and very clean, the best we've seen during our roadtrip. The camping spot itself is partially hardened so no fear of getting stuck in the grass when it's raining a lot. It also has a machine to clean casette toilets. The playground is great as well.

9 dagen op deze camping gestaan. Prachtige ruime en schone sanitaire voorzieningen. Vanaf de camping direct fietspaden en knooppunten beschikbaar. Op 1,5 km vanaf de camping ligt het grootste steengraf (hunebed) van Emsland. Doorgaande weg langs de camping maar qua geluid niet hinderlijk. Groot tentenveld aanwezig maar helaas ontbreekt daar een wateraansluiting, wel is is daar een eenvoudige overdekte kookgelegenheid gesitueerd. Enige minpunt van deze camping vonden wij de instabiele gratis wifi. Verder een top camping!

Geweldig sanitair. Honden omheind losloop plaatsje en honden douche.
plekken zijn voldoende ruim om ook je auto er te parkeren. Wasmachines en zelfs vaatwasmachines. Pizza’s en flammkuchen waren heerlijk.

Mooie camping met ruime staanplaatsen, alle faciliteiten zijn in een gebouw. In de omgeving is met knooproutes goed te fietsen. Leuke dorpjes, mooi bosgebied. Sanitair was luxe!

prima en goed verzorgde camping. wij hebben hier een dag gestaan op doorreis naar Scandinavië. Ruime plaatsen, goede en gratis douches, erg goed schoongehouden. vannacht zijn er helaas wel fietsen van onze buren gestolen, dus alles goed op slot houden.

Bij reservering vooraf opent de slagboom op herkenning van het kenteken en kun je direct naar je plaats. De ACSI-korting wordt ondubbelzinnig toegepast, dus de genoemde prijs is de eindprijs. Het sanitair is uitstekend en in voldoende mate aanwezig. De plaatsen zijn ruim. Er is één smet op ons verblijf: op de vrijdag dat Duitsland de openingswedstrijd in het EK speelde, kwam er een gezelschap van ca 16 personen in 3 caravans/campers op de camping. Enthousiasme tijdens een voetbalwedstrijd is begrijpelijk, maar rumoer tot diep in de nacht niet. Na een klacht bij de receptie bleef het de avond/nacht erna rustig, maar we vinden dat zo’n groep à priori niet tussen of bij andere kampeergasten moet worden geplaatst. In veel recensies lazen wij dat je er zo mooi kunt fietsen via een knooppuntennetwerk. Dat is een teleurstelling geworden. De knooppunten staan redelijk goed aangegeven, maar behalve de ongezellige fietspaden langs de drukkere wegen en de landbouwwegen waren de fietspaden in erbarmelijk slechte staat. Er wordt niet of nauwelijks onderhoud gepleegd. Voor ons is weer eens duidelijk geworden dat je je van toerfietsen in het buitenland niet al te veel moet voostellen, al zijn er uitzonderingen, bv. fietsen langs de grote rivieren in Duitsland. Maar verder kun je wat fietsen betreft beter in Nederland blijven.

Mooie rustige camping met vriendelijk personeel en een goede prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding. Prima sanitair. Winkels in de buurt. Aan te bevelen, zeker voor hondenbezitters. Chapeau voor het in- en uitchecken en informatieverstrekking.

Sehr netter Empfang. Für den Hund gab es Geschenke. Handtuch und Leckerlies. Es gab eine Hundedusche. Mehrere Hunde kein Problem. Zaun erlaubt und konnte man sogar leihen auf dem
Platz.
Für den Menschen gab es einen Kiosk, Pizza, Kuchen und Coktails zu super Preisen.
Die Parzellen war groß und mit Strom und Wasser.
Die Gegend ist schön zum Fahrrad fahren
