ThürKies See-Camping is ideal for campers who like water sports, walking, cycling and a relaxed atmosphere. The campsite is in the green heart of Germany near the Thuringian Forest. Here, you camp in a rural, level area with many forests. The campsite is right by the Alperstedter See. There is a lovely sandy beach by this lake where children can have fun playing. There is also a bar with a lovely patio. The large city of Erfurt is only 11 kilometres to the south.

The stunning location by Alpenstedter See gives an ultimate camping feeling. The campsite has 70 camping pitches. All spacious pitches are close to the lake, many on grass. If you come camping with a tent, you can pick your own pitch.

Go for a swim in the water

You can walk straight from your camping pitch to the water for a refreshing swim. There is a sandy beach by the lake. If you'd like something active, hire a canoe or a standup paddleboard and go paddleboarding on the lake. There is a small snack bar by the lake where you can get drinks and some snacks.

Start your morning with a yoga class

Although ThürKies See-Camping is a fairly quiet campsite there are a number of activities on the programme in the summer months. Do a yoga class in the morning sun? You can on Sundays. On Saturday evenings, there is live music by the patio and you can enjoy fresh bread rolls in the mornings at weekends.

Travelling party: Couple

Prima camping maar vond de omgeving niet bijzonder. Fietspad naar Erfurt. Maar saai. Camping cafe was open vanaf 16 tot 22 uur. Dat was mooi aangelegd. Weinig schaduw.

Travelling party: Seniors

Wenn man den Campingplatz gefunden hat- wobei sich das Navi etwas schwer tut, ist man schon überrascht.
Wir kamen von Kühlungsborn und waren etwas erstaunt, die Sanitär- Container zu sehen. Aber überhaupt kein Problem- Alles sehr, sehr ordentlich und sauber.
Der Stellplatz war ausreichend groß, Strom dicht bei und Wasser auch.
Für die Hunderunde konnte man den Platz hinten durch ein Drehtor verlassen und hatte dann viele Möglichkeiten zum laufen oder Fahrrad fahren.
Der See hat super tolles, sauberes Wasser, Badestrand mit DLRG und eine Beach Bar ist auch nicht weit.
Wir haben im Mai auf unserer Tour durch Deutschland acht Campingplätze besucht- ThürKiessee war einer der besten davon.
Wir kommen wieder- auf jeden Fall.
