Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Stayed for 3 nights there. Family holidays with 2 kids. We were very excited to stay at this campsite and well... huge disappointment. None of the facilities listed are really there. Very small place with tiny spaces. One tent next to another. There\'s no bar as listed on the website. Game room has tiny damaged pool table, football table- not working and dart board with no darts. Both gameroom and playground lacked at 9.30pm. Didn\'t see any picnic area or bbq facilities. Not really pet friendly. It\'s allowed to bring your pet with you, but I witnessed when the owner ask somebody in not polite way at all, to keep dog on the lead...
Kitchen, sitting room laundry room, bathrooms well maintened and clean. Except bathrooms all of above lacked at 9.45pm. Terrible shower with no adjustable temperature or flow. 12€ for laundry. WiFi not working or working from time to time, very slow. There\'s also no good reception so even mobile data not working properly.
Campsite located next to cemetery.
We were happy to get out of there.
We definitely won\'t be back there again and would not recommend to anyone.

Travelling party: Seniors

A nice little site with level, tarmac pitches, water and electric on each one, with excellent Wi-Fi coverage . The facilities are excellent with lots of rooms and the toilets and showers are kept really clean. A bit pricey but the showers are now free. The owners are friendly, very helpful and keep the place really well.
Only problem was my own fault. I left my watch in the shower and some scum-bag took it! It was not worth more but it was a gift from my wife for my 60th, therefore priceless in sentimentality. I hope something really nasty happens to whoever took it.
Tis is of NO FAULT whatsoever of the campsite to which I may well return to (we only left because the weather was so good we went to the coast).
Cong is built on a film made nearly 70 years ago, which seems very popular with the Americans. Many of the buildings are labelled up, a statue of Maureen O’Hara and John Wayne (the all-American gun lover who received a 3-A deferment from the draft) and the film is shown every evening in the campsite.

"Campsite is located next to the castle, a 1.5 km-walk to the centre of Cong, a historic village. The film ‘The Quiet Man’ was recorded in the area. Sporting activities, such as fishing, canoeing. Walking park and cycle route in the centre."
