This site advertises free Wi-Fi but the service is very erratic in fact most of the time non existent. The open top bus advertised as stopping at the campsite is a myth, the open top bus only acts as a feeder service to the city centre, the inflated price for the tour is really not worth the money. We used the Dublin Bus which runs regular from out side the gate which is an excellent service with excellent free Wi-Fi.
There is a better choice of tours when you get to O\'Connell Street if you so wish.
Toilet maintenance is very sparse in fact the toilet blocks are a bit dated and dirty. Sanitary maintenance was very poor. We were also very disappointed in the Guinness experience, a very expensive pint at the end. The rest of Dublin was fantastic.
Nice clean site, well maintained. Great playground for children. clean flat hardstands for caravans & camper vans. Good facilities, toilets, laundry room, kitchen etc.
would recommend this caravan park if visiting Dublin. bus goes from the caravan park to the city centre regularly every day
Excellent caravan park, facilities are spotless clean, great play ground and a huge public park next door.
Very clean - great facilities.
Great playground for the kids.
Could do with a little tuk shop.
Also very near road so bit noisy at times.
Overall very goog site, close to Dublin city and great base to visit all the sites from. Big public park next door well worth the stay.
We thought this was a very, clean, friendly and well thought out site, park was excellent, never a bother getting a shower, other site user not unfriendly just kept to themselves, mostly full of non irish when i stayed, great services of site, clondalkin 20min walk big stores for supplies, wonderful park next door 300acreas i believe, staff 100%. The entertainment i enjoyed was the hundreds of wild life at night, we stayed for 8 days, two familys mixed ages they had a great time. wifi is well received throughout park if your laptop, etc is on wireless. The red bus good value 2 adults and full family 2 days in city 30 euro best value, what more can i say , your in dublin how could you not have good time. Enjoy
Had a nice 3 night stay here, clean and friendly, wifi cover is good, good size play park for the kids, next door to a great park and tour bus from camp site is good value. (€15.00 per adult for two day hop on hop off pass)
Down side road noise when you are in a tent, and due to the far out location I think even a small shop selling essentials would be a great addition to this camp site
This evaluation has been obtained by our inspector from a questionnaire at the camp site.
This is a well kept site with some nice sized pitches. The facilities are dated but well maintained. The children enjoyed the playpark and beside the site is a large parkland. There are good public transport links and the reception has lots of leaflets. Here you can get hot and cold drinks and sweets, crisps and ices. The site says it has free WiFi but this is only if you are in close by the reception building otherwise there is no signal. We were away from the entrance and had no problem with traffic noise. The small airfield close by didn't operate at night whilst we were there for 4 days. A good site for visiting South Dublin and the centre.
If you are just for the Dublin tourist attractions this is a good site. Good public transport services. This is a modern and well run site with good security. If you want a peaceful sleep take ear plugs, right on the busy N7 and not far from the airport. Therefore, there can be some noise.
