Sereno Camping Holiday

A very nice site on the shore of Lake Garda and we were lucky to have what appeared to be one of only 5 truly large lake view pitches. the views were stunning and couldn’t fault this location and immediate environment. The site was very large, with excellent leisure facilities, but it did seem to be more focussed on static accommodation rather than a “touring site” and whilst there were probably 300 or more accommodations, only about 30-40 were touring pitches. The Motorhome service point was quite limited and we had trouble manoeuvring our 7.5m Motorhome into this area. The sanitary facilities whilst kept very clean, were a little disappointing. the “hot water control” button was outside the shower cubicle and gave a very strict 4/5 minutes of hot water then it shut off. The water wasn’t exactly that hot either and the supply was clearly limited, my wife came back freezing to the Motorhome after her evening shower on one night. There was direct access down to a lake side beach area, but as dogs were not allowed there we didn’t really use it. There was not a lot to do in the immediate vicinity and the local supermarket was quite limited. but a 20 minute walk to Moniga did provide cafes and restaurants etc. overall it was good but not the best.
