Camping Villaggio Turistico Europeo

Wow… all I can say is how is this place still selling itself as a camping site? Surely not should be obligatory to offer your customers a place where they can get a restful nights sleep.. seems here that basic thing can’t even be counted on. Basically an outdoor beach club rave playing the most horrendous noise and what I would call the ‘musical’ equivalent to Tourette’s - Lord knows what kind of substances the people must have been taking to even remotely enjoy that racket - this went on until 6am/ daybreak. To be fair to the reception guy he did say there was a disco playing loud music until 2-3am and was clearly tying to manage expectations but nothing can prepare you for that honestly. They either need to close their doors until they sort out the issue with their extremely noisy neighbours or stop advertising as a viable camping place while these raves are still happening.. worst experience ever sadly and it’s a shame as the site entertainment team were making a genuine effort to keep people entertained. The bar restaurant was ok but the pizzas we had were a bit odd. My wife’s tuna Alissa came out with what looked like an entire punnet of half sliced cherry tomatoes on top. The drinks weren’t very cold either and the bill at the end wasn’t very transparent at all. All in all a shame as it could be great with a good beachfront location but massively let down by most of the other basic stuff. Have to say aswell the whole are including Catania wasn’t great and is a bit of a dive and wouldn’t recommend to visitors to Sicily. Suffice to say we left this hell hole shortly after having our breakfast and wouldn’t recommend to anyone ever
