Camping Sant'Angelo Village

This site is excellent in most respects. It is expensive, but it is just about worth it. Positives: Pitches are big for the area (we reserved a large pitch) Good water, drainage and EHU Toilets are immaculate, being continually cleaned. The beach area is excellent and well looked after. Beach staff very friendly and helpful. The swimming pools are excellent in every respect. Not too busy at any time. The pool bar and beach bar are good, with friendly staff. The shop is very well stocked and shop staff are very friendly. Access both to the site and inside the site, is good for even larger campers or caravans. Negatives The main restaurant. Dreadful food and staff seemed desperate for quick table turn over.. We ordered a lasagne and it was ready inside five minutes! Microwaved and tasteless. Pizzas were uncooked and sloppy. Only ate there once. We really didn\'t understand this. Veneto is renowned for the quality of the food yet this 5 star site was content to serve a microwave lasagne? However, the food served at the beach bar was good. Would we come back? Yes. But the site needs to look at the quality of the food served in its main restaurant. Lets the site down. Oh and the shop needs to improve the wine it sells. Some of us don\'t mind paying more for the best wine.
