Alpine campsite
The campsite which lies against a slope, mostly under spruce, has a lovely ambiance. Everything looks well-maintained and the campsite exudes an authentic alpine atmosphere with its reception in chalet style and its rustic wooden bungalows. The hilly terrain is somewhat difficult to negotiate and the pitches, although beautifully laid out, are not very spacious. The rental accommodation units have a cosy appearance.
Mountain hiking paradise
Valle d’Aosta, in the extreme north-west of Italy, is officially a dual-language region, where both Italian and French are spoken. You are only a stone's throw away from the French border and the Mont Blanc tunnel, which ends near well-known Chamonix. The surroundings of the campsite are characterised by high mountains and deeply incised valleys.
The campsite is modest in terms of facilities. The reception also serves as a restaurant, campsite shop and bar. The restaurant is amicable and the service is friendly and accessible. The owner's wife is an excellent cook and bakes fantastic pizzas, which go down well after a day in the mountain air.
Sanitary facilities
The sanitary facilities are modest but are kept very clean.
