Good location close to the beach and in an area by itself. It’s a large site with big and very good pool complex. It’s not an ACSI CC site but rate per day in June gives access to pool and basic facilities but not the ‘Aqua In’ pool which had a separate admission charge. Also slides in main pool were not on at this time. Frustratingly this price doesn’t give access to what appears to be excellent site wifi and it was not possible to purchase access separately! Bizarre.
Site is mostly fixed caravans and bungalows and touring pitches are separate, some with green sun covers. Trees are not high so we appreciated the cover.
The area for tourers is separate to the area for statics and cars are allowed on the pitches. The pitch we had was one of the largest we’ve had in Italy, flat, well maintained with good planting around it. The toilet block was very clean but the men’s showers were not delivering hot water. Despite reporting this a couple of times this was a problem all week. Also the shower wall fittings were poor old and broken. Pool was good and open all day but accompanied by loud music. The on site shop is basic but stock improved whilst we were there so probably just gearing up for the high season.
The general administration was poor with no basic information provided on arrival e.g. on washing machines, rubbish collection etc. on arrival and we had to keep asking for more information. Staff did speak good English. Gates shut at 8.00pm and you need a car pass to get in after this and we weren’t given one which led to a long discussion with the gatekeeper. Just unnecessary. Rubbish points were poorly marked, in fact just one small bin with no recycling segregation for around 20 pitches, although rubbish was collected daily. ‘Guard’ dogs located by the entrance were simply irritating, barking at everything and everybody that went past. Access road from main road also needed attention – had some very large and deep potholes. There was just one old washing machine for the whole site with no instructions for use.
ACSI details say gas cylinder exchange available but it wasn’t. They only had big cylinders suitable for the statics
