Easy enough access off the motorway, the approach road (less than half a mile) to the site is a bit narrow as stated by a previous reviewer but it’s certainly not that bad, I have a car and caravan combination in excess of 12m long and didn’t find it a problem. The roads inside the site are however a bit “tight” in places and bordered by trees so a little care IS needed, but again I didn’t find it an issue and was able to reverse my caravan onto my pitch without unhitching.
Check in staff the epitome of friendliness, multi lingual and keen to be of assistance, we were told to go and find a pitch then return to let them know where we had decided on.
The pitches do vary in size. The EHU is, at best, about 5 amps max, our kettle kept tripping it off so make sure you have a stove top one!
Plenty of shade from the trees and plenty of water taps. The sanitary block is better than excellent! It’s either brand new OR has been recently refurbished at great expense. Spotlessly clean and (if you let it run a bit) plenty of really hot water in the beautifully tiled showers. Plenty of washing up sinks, each with their own drainer for plates etc.
Beware if you ask for a Wi-fi code, we did, no mention was made of any charge, BUT when we came to leave (after one night) were asked for €3 for each code!! I didn’t pay because the Wi-fi was soooooo slow as to be unusable. Didn’t use the bar restaurant or pool (it’s was raining) the shop had limited stock of essentials, bread available during the day and can also be ordered the evening before, it’s sold by weight!
There are a fair few “cabines”
Cannot fault the reception staff - multi-lingual and very friendly and helpful. However, while the book says the site is suitable for large camper vans, I would not agree. The approach road and entrance were quite narrow and there were only 2 spaces where we could just fit our van, which at 8.4m is long but not as large as some. Also, the many, strangely spaced trees make access to pitches difficult for larger vans.
Friendly staff. Good stopover. Close to two supermarkets. Can cycle alongside the beach but unfortunately elevated rail track means there is no view. Unfortunately pitches are very very small and we barely had room to put table and chairs out. Was very very busy and not at all peaceful, felt that there were too many vans in this site resulting in everyone being hemmed in. If you have a caravan, vehicles are parked in a car park on the other side of the road from camp site.
There are few recommendable sites along this Italian coast and this one is one of the better ones. It was nearly full in the middle of May and the only pitches available were difficult of access and leave from due to some unfortunately placed trees which are obviously need for shade. The star of the site are the toilets and pool and the bar and restaurant looked tempting and popular although not used by us. The downside of this site is the nearby beach which can only be described as a disgrace with litter and debris everwhere which is a pity as I would definitely stayed at the site much longer had this not been so.
We loved it here. Very helpful owners and a great info pack on arrival with details of local markets etc.
Lovely toilet block.
Very handy for shopping with Lidl and Familia supermarkets close by to walk to.
Wifi is to pay.
Our pitch was at the bottom of a field between lots of trees. The grass hadn't been cut for a while and out of each window we overlooked old, tired caravans that haven't been moved for years. The site is run by a brother and sister who are trying to improve things but the town will always let it down. It's very industrial and full of greenhouses growing plants for commercial purposes. The beach was shingle and dirty. A very nice bakery on site.
Had a very enjoyable stay here. Staff very friendly and helpful. Showers - plenty of them, loads of hot water and spacious cubicles. Plenty to do in a lovely area. Not far to shops and the beach. Very relaxing site.
Used this site as a stopover twice in May2011. The toilet facilities were good with adjustable temperature showers with lots of hot water. Pitches were of an adequate size, but access roads were a little tight but manageable. Only cash accepted for bookings under 50 euros. Lidl supermarket just down the road.
