Cannot fault the reception staff - multi-lingual and very friendly and helpful. However, while the book says the site is suitable for large camper vans, I would not agree. The approach road and entrance were quite narrow and there were only 2 spaces where we could just fit our van, which at 8.4m is long but not as large as some. Also, the many, strangely spaced trees make access to pitches difficult for larger vans.
Friendly staff. Good stopover. Close to two supermarkets. Can cycle alongside the beach but unfortunately elevated rail track means there is no view. Unfortunately pitches are very very small and we barely had room to put table and chairs out. Was very very busy and not at all peaceful, felt that there were too many vans in this site resulting in everyone being hemmed in. If you have a caravan, vehicles are parked in a car park on the other side of the road from camp site.
There are few recommendable sites along this Italian coast and this one is one of the better ones. It was nearly full in the middle of May and the only pitches available were difficult of access and leave from due to some unfortunately placed trees which are obviously need for shade. The star of the site are the toilets and pool and the bar and restaurant looked tempting and popular although not used by us. The downside of this site is the nearby beach which can only be described as a disgrace with litter and debris everwhere which is a pity as I would definitely stayed at the site much longer had this not been so.
We loved it here. Very helpful owners and a great info pack on arrival with details of local markets etc.
Lovely toilet block.
Very handy for shopping with Lidl and Familia supermarkets close by to walk to.
Wifi is to pay.
Our pitch was at the bottom of a field between lots of trees. The grass hadn't been cut for a while and out of each window we overlooked old, tired caravans that haven't been moved for years. The site is run by a brother and sister who are trying to improve things but the town will always let it down. It's very industrial and full of greenhouses growing plants for commercial purposes. The beach was shingle and dirty. A very nice bakery on site.
Had a very enjoyable stay here. Staff very friendly and helpful. Showers - plenty of them, loads of hot water and spacious cubicles. Plenty to do in a lovely area. Not far to shops and the beach. Very relaxing site.
Used this site as a stopover twice in May2011. The toilet facilities were good with adjustable temperature showers with lots of hot water. Pitches were of an adequate size, but access roads were a little tight but manageable. Only cash accepted for bookings under 50 euros. Lidl supermarket just down the road.
Very nice family sight, only drawback is not much space between pitches. Aldi super market 5-10 minute walk. Village about 2 km. The owners are very friendly and helpful.
Brilliant hot showers, but cleaning took place between 8/9 am - not ideal as it delayed our departure and we had a long journey ahead of us. The site itself was scruffy, pitches were miniscule. We were lucky to park our car next to our caravan - but only because it was April and not busy. The beach was truly grotty and the area itself was full of greenhouses - they were everywhere, growing pot plants. A good stop-over site, and OK for a longer stay if you have children - the pool was great.
The staff spoke English and were very helpful.
We had our two small dogs with us and the only place to walk them was on the road, so not ideal.
The wi-fi connection was excellent, available in the caravan and cost just 1 euro per hour.
The owner is extremely friendly and very helpful. We stayed for 4 night. This was more than we had intended due to the atmosphere at the site, the cleanliness of the facilities and the charming surrounding towns and villages.
