Bereits seit 1959 befindet sich auf der Ostseite des rustikalen Ortasees der Campingplatz Orta. Dieser See in der Provinz Piemont, der westlich des Lago Maggiore liegt, gilt als einer der ruhigsten Seen der Region. Der gepflegte Campingplatz befindet sich auf beiden Seiten der Rundwegs, die um den See herumführt. Die beiden Teile des Campingplatzes sind durch einen Fußgängertunnel miteinander verbunden.

Lovely site, fantastic location with a twenty minute walk into a beautiful town. Cycling is a bit scary unless experienced but town is well worth a visit. Road that runs through the site is a bit noisy so bring earplugs. Staff were helpful and very pleasant. Good clean facilities.

En pragtfuld plads ved Lago d'Orta med direkte adgang til søen. Venligt personale, god restaurant på campingpladsen med rimelig priser. Byen Orta San Giulio og øen Isola San Giulio, samt Sacro Monte di Orta bør absolut besøges
