The campsite Orchidea is located near Feriolo di Baveno, a charming Italian village. The beautiful camping pitches on this flat, lush campsite offer plenty of shade. Some rental accommodation is available as well. The campsite's private beach is really wonderful. The beach slopes gradually into the water. For more fun in the water, you can take a dip in the swimming pool on the campsite. The activities team gives it their all throughout the day to entertain both young and old. The restaurant (which includes a terrace with a view) serves up delicious dishes.

Spacious, lush pitches

Orchidea primarily features touring pitches (roughly 200), but there are a few mobile homes and apartments. The borders of the pitches are marked and there is plenty of space. There is no shortage of greenery, either. Are you coming with a big camper van? If so, inform the site ahead of time, because the many, tall broad-leaf trees mean that there are fewer pitches where your van will fit.

The activities programme (particularly the kids' dance party) keeps the day entertaining and creates a lively atmosphere on the campsite. Those looking for peace and quiet are best served by choosing a spot by the lake.

Entertainment on the campsite and on the water

The campsite is clearly focused on families, which is clear from its activity programme and various sports fields (football, volleyball, table tennis, petanque). There are also two playgrounds for smaller children. The little ones can also enjoy themselves at the mini club or the juniors' club. If you're looking to cool off, you can find the solution in the modern swimming pool (built in the spring of 2017).

Lago Maggiore

The largest "swimming pool" is Lago Maggiore, of course! You can easily walk here from the campsite. The campsite has its own sandy beach, which gradually slopes into the lake. This makes it perfect for smaller children, too.

Travelling party: Seniors

Liked - Helpful friendly staff, good facilities and location
Disliked - Very busy, not much space as a result, all a bit on top of each other

Liked - The Bar area and clean toilet area and of course the views .
Disliked - The 2 female reception staff employees where quite rude and unhelpful , when it came to the positioning of our campervan and awning on pitch . The episode when we first came on site after a long drive was quite upsetting .
