Camping Village Conca d'Oro is a delightful family campsite on one of Italy's most popular lakes, Lake Maggiore. The natural surroundings, water, entertainment (including for teenagers) and the many amenities combine to make this a campsite on which you can enjoy a truly carefree camping holiday. Don't miss a visit to the magical Borromean Islands while you are here.
The campsite is rich in lush green vegetation of maple trees, birches, ash and alder wood. The majority of paths on the campsite are unpaved, adding to the natural feel of the environment. This also helps to make the campsite especially safe for children.
Camping or glamping?
Village Conca d'Oro campsite has 250 grassy camping pitches of various sizes, shaded and unshaded, and all with electricity (max. 6 A). If you're looking for a little more luxury and comfort, why not hire a mobile home with patio or glamping tent?
Floating around on the lake
Village Conca d'Oro does not have a swimming pool, the site's location on Lake Maggiore (the south-eastern side, so sunshine all day long!) renders a pool unnecessary! The lake slopes gently downwards, so camping guests can take to the waters for a refreshing dip. The campsite has a 400-metre stretch of private sandy beach on the lake, so you'll always be able to find somewhere to relax and soak up the sun.

Lovely site, happy to recommend. Stayed here for four nights in August 2016. I advise reserving in high season. It was full every day we were there.
This site has a relatively easy access from the main E62 trunk road. Ideally, leave the E62 on the Baveno & Stresa exit (not the Gravellona exit). Down the winding hill then take the left turn towards Feriolo. Follow the signs. The entrance to the campsite is a hairpin and infinitely easier from this direction with a big caravan.
Nice big waiting area for the barrier controlled gates. Pull up and go in to reception. Very friendly staff and very smooth check in.
We had reserved a lakeside pitch which was of a good size (>100m2) with partial shade. Access to the pitch is tight in places. EHU was some distance away and we trailed the cable past two pitches. Pegging was good with hard sandy soil.
The shop is big, but we were getting to the end of the season and there were bare shelves. Nevertheless, there was bread, olives, cold beer and warm reds! What more does one need?! There is a bar/ restaurant/ gelateria, but you can only eat so much pizza, so we barbecued on our pitch every night. The kids however, loved the ice cream. The three toilets & shower blocks are excellent, seemingly continually being cleaned. Only the central and south blocks have chemical disposal points.
The view was sensational with calm clear mornings over the lake vying with idyllic balmy evenings. Night time is nice and quiet, but take note, you do need mosquito repellent. During our time, it was hot, humid and no wind, which made for slightly uncomfortable nights.
This is not a high energy campsite, which we liked. During the day, many people just sunbathed on the sandy lake shore. There is a small kids playground. If you have a boat, bring it. This place is designed to facilitate boating. Swimming is possible in the lake and the water is astonishingly warm. The swimming experience is reduced a bit by there being lots of weed in the water. You can find clear patches, but it is more on the beach round the corner. I believe you can hire a boat nearby and there are boat trips up and down the lake, but we did neither.
In nearby Gravellona, there is a large shopping centre with a large hypermarket.
Situated right on the shore of Lake Maggiore and near to the small village of Feriolo.
Lake side pitches are at a premium but worth it - idyllic location. But, mosquitos can be a problem.
Superb shower block with controllable showers, very good restaurant.
Good sized pitches.
3 miles from Baveno where you can catch the lake water taxis.
Located on the West Bank of Lake Maggiorre. Access is easy from the motorway but the road into the site from the main road is narrow with only one passing place.
Warm reception from staff and we were invited to select our own pitch. However there were only three vacant, which came as a bit of a shock. It was Easter but we have never found sites particularly full at this time of year. However, this area is very accessible from Germany and they had arrived in force. We arrived at 2pm. If we’d have been half an hour later we would not have secured a pitch.
The pitches are on sandy soil so well drained. We could easily get our caravan, car and awning onto the pitch with room to spare. A lot of people left on Easter Monday which resulted in better views of the nearby mountains. If you want a pitch on the first row adjacent to the lake it’ll cost you extra in the low season. We were happy to use our ACSI card.
The site is very well maintained. The three toilet blocks look as though they have just been repainted and are very clean.
There is a well stocked shop selling goods at reasonable prices. The bar and restaurant are very popular so book a table. There is a varied menu which includes about 20 different varieties of pizza. Two pizzas a small beer and a jug of house wine cost us 32 euro.
It is a short drive into Baveno where you can catch the ferry to the three islands or the ferry which sails the whole length of the lake.
Very nice site, well located, helpful staff happy to recommend.
from the moment we arrived we felt welcome.the reception staff were excellent and were always available and helpful.the site can be very busy but the facilities were never stretched. the toilet blocks were excellent and kept spotlessly clean. we stayed here for three weeks and the surrounding areas has lots to see and do.
excellent campsite on the lake. well run. english widely spoken.
good centre for seeing lake maggori
Smashing site right on the beach of lake Maggiorre. beautiful scenery and vistas. the site is a little hard to find because the sign is on top of you before you know it. Otherwise excellent site. we enjoyed 3 nights here and walked into the village using the cycle track with our very old/blind cocker spaniel and had vino and tapas in a couple of the lakeside bars/restaurants. Want to go back again soon but better still would love to buy a house there and live forever in peace.
This is a large and nice site. Good pitches well marked out. Very clean toilets and helpful staff. Nice restaurant at good prices. Sunbathe by the lake but swimming not allowed. The downside? Very expensive WiFi, why do sites want to rip you off whilst coffee shops etc supply this free.
Just returned from 4nt stay at this fantastic site. Good, clean facilities. Fantastic location on the lake. Also only 10min (easy walk) from the site into Feriolo where you can get a bus North or South of the lake every hour. Boats from Stresa which we didn't find too busy late August. Equally once we did a boat trip we actually found the air conditioned bus a lot nicer to get around on and stops virtually everywhere you may want to visit. Staff helpful and spoke good english. Will only take cards over 25e so have some cash. Definately recommend and will return.
