Corones Campsite is a luxurious campsite in South Tyrol. The lush green surroundings lend themselves to long walks and sports in summer and winter. Camp at one of the spacious comfort pitches, or spend the night in a luxurious chalet. Relax in the wellness centre and in the beautiful countryside. Corones Campsite is located in the north of Italy, in the middle of the South Tyrolean Alps.
You'll camp in a green valley, surrounded by pine trees, green meadows, and huge mountains. There aren't any big cities in the vicinity, but there are plenty of traditional Tyrolean villages to visit.
Cycling, hiking, and gliding
The surroundings lend themselves to hikes through nature, and sports activities: sporty types and those who love nature will really enjoy being here. Corones campsite is also perfect for those looking for relaxation, though. The peace and quiet in amongst the mountains relaxes everyone. The campsite is near Kronplatz Nature Fitness Park, the largest Nordic Walking Park in Europe: 275 km in well-signposted walking trails, right in the beautiful countryside of the Dolomites. The campsite organises excursions to the most beautiful spots in the area, for a lovely walk with panoramic views, or more active adventures: mountain biking, hiking and paragliding. In the winter, the South Tyrol is an ideal skiing area. Many winter sports enthusiasts head from the campsite towards the mountains. A free ski bus stops in front of the campsite. It will drop you off in the mountains.
The crown of the Kronplatz
At the top of the Kronplatz, the 2275 metre high mountain, that's about a 40 minute drive away, is the Corones Messner Mountain Museum. This spectacular building looks as if it was carved from the mountain.

Wonderful campsite! Very friendly and helpful staff. Within walking distance of village and shops. Lots of cycle paths and walking trails. More a campsite for couples without children, but our 2 (10 and 15) were happy with swimming pool!
Nice, peaceful campsite. Camping pitches with a lack of shading. Beautiful surroundings. Excellent ice cream in the restaurant.
We only stayed one night en route, so didn't get to use the pool or restaurant, but both looked nice. The bathrooms are very good with free flowing hot water in the showers and very clean. The pitches are level and the surrounding mountains definitely worth a visit. We would stay here again
Excellent camping, one of the best we have been to! Very friendly and helpful staff. Spacious and comfortable pitches. All the territory well looked after. Very clean toilets, showers and other amenities. Also, very clean heated outdoor swimming pool. The camping shop has a good selection for your everyday needs, and the restaurant serves tasty food. Special mention must be made about the location of the camping. It is in a valley with the greenery and mountains around. Fantastic views! It is just a short way to the mountain trails and the fantastic mountain lakes. We will surely come back again!
Set in a scenic spot this campsite has excellent facilities. The pitch was a bit small, only just big enough for the caravan, a porch awning and the car. The restaurant serves excellent food. the warden was very helpful.
Nice secluded site in pretty location. We arrive just after the lunchtime closedown along with a few other new arrivals and found the check in process to be rushed and not particularly welcoming. We had to go back to find out information about WiFi and sauna. It felt like we had to extract information rather than it being offered.
Pitch was a good size and had 'comfort' style services.
The pool was clean, well maintained and was heated but the grass around it was untidy and no chairs or loungers were provided, so it felt like a place to just swim rather than an area to relax in.
Toilets/showers were immaculate.
Using Corones as a base for multi-day trips into the nearby mountains made for a brilliant holiday this summer. Brilliant people on top of great facilities (the residence accommodation). A really lovely stay. Local rail and bus links make for easy route into the mountains for walking. Staff at the campsite were more than happy to help with excursions and it was always a pleasure to return to Corones for a refreshing swim, use of the spa and good food at the restaurant.
Strong recommendations for couples who like getting away into the mountains. Great facilities, good access and great people.
