Travelling party: Couple

Only a mile from the old town and half of that is spent walking over a bridge with great views. Hypermarket about 600m away. Brilliant indoor swimming pool (belonging to the Technical University but open to the public) 400 m away. Pitches vary but with careful choice you can have a comfortable, private pitch. Facilities very good. Little bit pricey but it is the Baltics. Highly recommended.

Travelling party: Couple

Very good location to visit Riga. Close to supermarket. Good conditions at toilet and showers even they were a little far from the pitches.

This has the attraction that you can walk into Riga to see the town. It is a small site but well managed. The down sides were a bit of a trek over to the toilets and there was no hot water for washing up. The atmosphere was very nice in the evening though and it was a really good site from which to explore Riga

To be a city camping, this one is great. Location is good, walking distance to Old Town of Riga, and Olimpia shopping center nearby. Facilities are fine, only hot water for dishes was missing. And some organisation for the laundry queue should be appreciated. Staff is really helpful. Finally a note: Some cobblestone streets in Riga is not made for Caravaning!

Travelling party: Couple

We very much enjoyed our stay at Riga City Campground. It is an easy walk from there into the old city of Riga where there are many excellent restaurants and museums. The facilities at the campground are clean and well maintained. The staff is helpful and very pleasant. We had interesting conversations with one of the staff, who gave us a great deal of good and interesting information about the countryside before we left on a bicycling trip, as well as a very helpful map. We enjoyed the time we spent with him. We will definitely go back. We are from the United States.

Not the traditional image of camping as a rural idyll! But the site is ideally placed for visiting Riga, the facilities are good and well maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Very good toilets and showers, clean and tidy. Secured and 24h guarded area. Camping facilities is ok with all needed waste emptying places. Not much to do with children. Near Riga.

Travelling party: Couple

24 hour manned security , gates locked at night. Small grassy area for tents, car only to verge so ok if there is an space near the kerb for vehicle access. A bit of a walk to the showers but clean and adequate when you get there. Separate toilet blocks near reception and pitches. Very helpful reception staff, even changed TV to 24hour BBC news for us in the sitting area with table and chairs. Easy walk into town over the suspension bridge with good views all around. No shop or eats. Very convenient for visit to Riga and well worth the distance travelled.

The placement is great- just 10 min. from Old Town. The place is a bit urban, but really in centre, nice quite area with 24 h safty service. Clean, new showers and very nice stuff!
