The quiet Camping Berkel campsite is located on the Sûre River in the Luxembourg Ardennes. It's a small-scale family campsite with a friendly atmosphere. Next door is the hamlet of Bockholtz-Moulin, which consists of only a few houses. Eight kilometres away, you will find the beautiful village of Esch-sur-Sûre. In the surrounding area, you will find wooded hills, gorges, rivers and reservoirs.

Beloved by hikers and cyclists

The campsite is divided into two parts: one with touring pitches and one with permanent pitches. There are sixty camping sites, thirty of which are permanent sites. The pitches in the field are spacious and not clearly defined. Camping Berkel is mainly visited by tent campers, hikers and cyclists. The touring field features a fire pit, and there are two safari tents for rent. In the farmhouse, you will find a bed and breakfast and an apartment.

Feeding the cows together

You won't find a pool at this simple campsite, but the adjacent river is a great place to play and splash around. In the evening, people often socialise around the fire pit. In addition to the farm, there is a mill on the property and a barn with cows and calves. You will also come across cats, geese and dogs.

Bingo night and ball game

Various activities are organised in the recreation area of the farm, such as a playback show or a bingo evening. There are games for the children, and there's also a bar and a small library. For fresh bread, head over to the reception in the morning. The campsite also has a snack bar, which is open in July and August. Outside, next to the terrace, you will find a table tennis table.

Travelling party: Seniors

Mooie camping aan de Sure.
De camping heeft ruime mooie plaatsen en het sanitair is schoon en de eigenaars zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
Het is een heel mooi wandel gebied en mooie stadjes in de omgeving.
De wandelroutes zijn goed aangegeven.
Wij waren in juni daar en alles was geel van de bloeiende brem dat was zo mooi.
Wij bevelen deze camping echt aan.

Travelling party: Seniors

Wij hadden gedacht op een rustige camping te komen. Het was vrij vol en we vonden de plekken helemaal niet zo ruim. En met al die vaste plekken is het bepaald geen kleine camping.
Aan het water (we hadden twee verschillende plekken gereserveerd) hadden we meer ruimte maar de pech dat we heel luidruchtige buren vlak achter ons hadden. En vanuit de vaste caravans klonk in het weekend harde muziek en gekef van 3 gekooide hondjes. Gelukkig was het wel om 23.00 uur stil. Maar dat hier niets van gezegd werd, het duurde de hele dag! We hadden de laatste nachten vlak achter ons iemand met eigen vuurkorf, 2 meter van onze caravan. Er was geen controle op. Dus voor ons even geen Berkel meer. We hebben gelukkig veel prachtige wandelingen gemaakt in de omgeving.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Mooie camping midden in de natuur.
Lekker gewandeld, met het gratis! openbaar vervoer naar de stad en s\'avonds genoten op hun terras van een lekker streek biertje.
Erg schoon sanitair en mooie ruime plekken. Heerlijk zelf gebakken broodjes te bestellen voor het ontbijt en super gezellige eigenaresse. De kids hebben heerlijk gespeeld op de trampoline en op de speelplaats en heel veel geknuffeld met Bas (de hond). Het voeren van de koeien was trouwens ook de highlight van de dag.
We hebben echt genoten.

Hele mooie, goed verzorgde camping.
Het sanitair is super schoon en de eigenaren zijn ontzettend aardig en behulpzaam. Heel hartelijk ontvangst gehad en een hele fijne week hier doorbracht. Het is een kleinschalige camping met een heel leuk passanteveld waar een kampvuur cirkel is en hele goed onderhouden, ruime plekken.
Gezellig terras en heerlijk ontbijt!
Zeker een aanrader, wij komen zeker terug.
