In een buitenwijk van Dresden ligt Campingplatz Dresden-Mockritz. Hoewel de camping in de stad ligt, oogt hij toch zeer groen en zijn er veel hoge, oude bomen. Het terrein oogt een beetje onordelijk, maar maakt een ruime indruk. In het hoogseizoen is de camping vaak druk bezet. Vooral tegen de avond komen er vele nieuwe kampeerders aan die op doorreis zijn naar bijvoorbeeld Tsjechië.
