On camping Torentjeshoek you camp in a natural area, amidst still unspoilt woodlands. This peaceful, friendly campsite is situated on the edge of the Dwingelderveld National Park, one of the many nature areas in the province of Drenthe. Enjoy the most beautiful walks across the moors and fens.
Camping between trees
Dwingeloo itself is fairly green. However, only when you get to the campsite have you reached the real woodlands. You camp right in the midst of these on campsite Torentjeshoek. The spacious camping pitches are on large lawns, between trees and bushes. Unique rental accommodation units on the campsite are an army truck, a boat and a few treehouses.
Privacy and conviviality
When you cherish your privacy, camping Torentjeshoek is the right place to be. Your neighbours have also come here to enjoy the peace and quiet. Furthermore, the spacious pitches provide a little extra privacy. However, this does not mean that it is not a convivial campsite. You can enjoy a drink with your fellow campers on the terrace and in the canteen. There is also an entertainment programme for adults in high season.
From the terrace you have a good view of the large playground, where the smaller adventurers enjoy scrambling on the climbing equipment or jump around on the bouncy castle. When the weather is not good enough for the playground, you will find the children in the recreation barn. Here they can participate in arts and crafts, games and quizzes.
Swimming pool Beleefpark Dwingeloo
The campsite itself has no swimming pool, but campers have free access to swimming pool Beleefpark Dwingeloo. This large outdoor pool, with toddler pool and water chute, is located a few hundred metres along the road from the campsite.
