Hospitable, green campsite at a 10-minute bike ride from the centre and harbour of Urk, the former Zuiderzee island, where you are welcomed by Mr and Mrs Scheckman. When you drive to the campsite, you will notice how green and extensive the grounds are. The swimming pool and horse stables are immediate eye catchers.
Camping fields, safari tents and gnome houses
The camping pitches are spacious, have a grassed surface and are spread over several fields. The camping fields and pitches are not physically separated. In addition to the the basic camping pitches with and without electricity, there are fields with comfort pitches and pitches for camper vans. Some pitches are located between the seasonal pitches. Spread over the campsite you will find several modern ablution blocks. You can also rent accommodation, such as a luxury safari tent or a gnome house.
Bring your horse along!
The campsite is popular with senior citizens, but there are also ample facilities for children. There is a swimming pool with a sun-drenched terrace. Furthermore, there is a playground and covered wagon tours are also organised. This is the place to be for horse lovers. There is a pony-riding centre where you can take pony riding lessons and you can even bring your own horse.
Urk is a stone's throw away
When you want a bite to eat, you can go to the restaurant on the campsite, next to the pool. It has a cosy ambiance. You can also get takeaway meals there. Other catering facilities are available in Urk, where you can also do your daily grocery shopping. In the centre, a 10 minute walk away, you will find supermarkets, a bakery and butchery.
