Campervan visit. Friendly and informative welcome to this very large site. Pitches well sheltered and arranged in small separated areas so never felt busy despite being there over a weekend and quiet at night. Excellent facilities and MH service point. Free wi-fi on pitch. Beautiful surroundings and usual excellent cycle path network to explore around the lake and the National Park. The Marnewaard Military Training Area is accessible by bike and on footpaths at weekends. Highly recommended for birdwatchers!
A top notch site - although huge the pitches are in smaller groups so its like being on a smaller site. Reception and all facilities great. Cycling routes into the nature reserve area direct from site. A dog beach is available just down the road. Good easy access to ferry for Shiermonnikoog 15-minute walk or cycle ride
Generously sized pitches, lovely location near lake with adjacent boat museum. Free speedy internet on pitch. Friendly reception speaking good English. Excellent cycling network on very quiet roads or good quality traffic free paths. Free showers in well maintained toilet block. Large commercial site with activities available, but quiet on pitches. Only negative was low water pressure and blocked drain at nearest tap, so bit of a hike for water.
Overall highly recommended - went for 2 nights and stayed 7.
