This stunning UNESCO Rhön Biosphere Reserve is in the border area of the states of Beieren, Hessen and Thüringen, in the centre of Germany. This low mountain range has large, forested areas, vast valley meadows and tree-less mountain peaks. Camping Waldberg has been erected on the sunny side of the Kreuzberg on a site with old trees and two idyllic streams. This quietly located campsite is ideal for nature lovers. Explore the unspoiled nature of the Rhön on foot or on a mountain bike.

We stayed at this lovely campsite for 2 nights after staying in Cologne. It was a welcome break from the city. A very pretty & peaceful location. The owner is a lovely guy and was extremely helpful. He is in the process of improving the site, which will only enhance what is already a great spot.
