Only site inside the greater Oslo area. Its large, impersonal and has terrible slopping pitches on very rocky ground. But this is a capital city site so most time was spent away in the city so not a problem. Good washing facility and lots of toilets and showers as one would expect.
It\'s a big site! If you like big busy sites with lots of neighbours you will love it. The pitches can be sloping, they get lots of visitors, so pitches show some signs of wear, but not excessive.
It\'s a great location to visit Oslo, bus stops outside site 20 mins! The site sits on a hill overlooking Oslo so has great views, and is adjacent to a country park, which we didn\'t have time to explore, but found a Damien Hurst sculpture, and there are other apparently!
Nice surroundings to take a walk but not that nice for example to bicycle to city centre as campsite is located on a hill. A little bit pricy as well compared to facilities, Oslo extra.
We stayed here twice in summer 2012. The best part is the easy and quick access to the city center by bus. There are limited electrical hookups and very few water points. Showers are adequate. Rain had turned some of it into a swamp and campers crowded on the hill top. Much of it is not level and sites are not marked - campers just park wherever they want. But the location can't be beaten.
Very expensive site for poor facilities. After travelling through the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and Sweden, this was the worst and most expensive site we encountered. Male toilets particularly bad. All facilities need upgrading. Price does not include cost of showers, and shower accommodation is very basic. No euro standard plugs, so adaptor has to be bought or brought. Nearby area and route to city centre filled with roadworks, though bus stop is handy for travelling to city. This site was very disappointing, though friendly fellow-campers helped to compensate for this.
