Very nice multilingual staff, they’re friendly and caring. The campsite lacks shades, there’s a lot of room for improvements in the camping area. But of you’re lucky and get a shade it’s a good camping experience.
The park is very friendly abd quiet. I had an amazing time in a very good spot and the staff was very helpful.
Quirky but fantastic site, quiet, relaxed, friendly. Bathrooms, interesting but adequate in low season and lots of hot water. Great bike rides and access to the Algarve.
Part of mobile home park with high proportion of resident Brits. Touring area on terraced hillside with distant views of the sea. Good electricity supply but no nearby drinking water taps, only a basic Portaloo-type unit in the touring area and both the on-site restaurant and mini mercado were closed at the time of our stay.
An interesting and unusual site, only about 10km from the Spanish border and about 12km from Tavira, but there is a nearby village with all necessary requirements.
Lovely looking entrance and reception, with residents mobile homes, but then the access to the camping area was down one road and then back up a fairly steep gravel track - no problem for four wheel drive or motor homes.
In my opinion the best pitches are on one of the three upper levels of terrace (we chose the top one, nearer to the grassy garden, pool and bar/restaurant). There are also other pitches on the lower part of the camping area avoiding the hill climb! We stayed here at the end of May and there were only half a dozen other people staying so plenty of choice.
The camping area looks very barren, but many of the pitches are provided with a big framed sun shades to park by, with an AstroTurf floor making a great groundsheet. Water and electricity were nearby and once set up all you had to do was sit back and take in the AMAZING view, across the countryside to the sea :) The wash block was a short walk by the lower terrace and was fairly old and basic but serviceable with clothes and dishwashing facility.
There is quite a community of very well kept long stay English in mobile homes/cabins and the residents were very helpful and friendly. There was a shop on site but it was currently being renovated.
Although not accepting the ASCI set rates, we were only charged €15 per night.
Very nice bar area and outdoor terrace where you can sit obtain free wi-if. There is also an indoor restaurant and very pleasant sitting/TV area and toilets inside. There's a lovely clean pool and grassed area to sit but no chairs/loungers provided.
A visit to Cacela Velha, a short distance along the road to Tavira is worth a visit.
We were unfortunately only able to stay for two nights but loved the tranquility of the rural aspect and beautiful views (with nearby goat herd!) and would thoroughly recommend a stay here.
