What a great find, the reviews were spot on. We had a great welcome from the owner and all staff were helpful, friendly and knowledgable of the area. The site is peaceful and the atmosphere is so relaxing. There are a variety of pitches to suit all preferences. Lovely bar area seating in and out, we were fortunate to be there when the owners put on a BBQ, a great evening spent eating and mixing with fellow campers. Would thoroughly recommend the site and will definitely return.

We decided to leave Salamanca and head for the coast stopping off at Camping Quinta Chave Grande for a couple of nights. A week later and we were still there. The peace and quiet on this site is amazing, it's a real place to chill and relax. The placement of the pitches is not rigid, but they are large grassed areas, standing in what can only be described as parkland. You are surrounded by nature, and just the sounds of nature. On one day, whilst sat outside our campervan, a full grown fox ran past, barely 5 metres away. The site itself is kept spotless. The shower blocks are cleaned daily and the water is always hot. We swam in the large swimming pool every day, even though it was October when we were there. We attended the weekly BBQ one Thursday evening and had plenty to eat. We were also able to buy milk, bread and wine from the reception / bar area. We were also fortunate to be invited by our hosts to a 'photoshoot' of members of their community (including themselves) in traditional costume. We were warmly welcomed into their community and it just became a special evening for us. This was our first visit to this particular site, but it will be a mandatory stop off point on our trips in the future. I don't thinkwe have ever relaxed more than we did here.

Good campsite but quite remote. Facilities good. Staff were very helpful especially when assisting with motorway toll registration.

This is an extremely quiet and tranquil site. It is terraced, but these are wide and spacious. The pitches are extremely large and there is plenty of shade beneath the trees. The various areas are separated by trees and vines which trail along the wire fences and stone walling. The pictures on the website give you an accurate indication of what to expect if you visit. There is a bar that serves food, although we didn\'t try it. The family that runs the site are very friendly and helpful and they can speak a variety of languages. There is a large, salt water swimming pool which is first class. The site is well signposted and access is very easy, if you follow the signs to the entrance. The shower and toilet facilities are older than some sites, but they are beautifully clean and well maintained. A beautiful area to visit and an extremely pleasant place to stay if you like peace and quiet and surrounded by nature. They have just been awarded a \"Top 10\" campsite in Portugal, they cerficate was on display in the bar, which is well deserved.
