Torvean Caravan Park

We booked this site for 2 weeks and paid up front sadly we were very disappointed.Firstly the Internet connection was extremely bad and after a day of trying to connect we had to get a top box and pay for our own,secondly the campsite is next to a raising bridge which alarm went off through the day and evening which was very irritating to say the least.The toilets and showers are shut from 10.30 til 12pm meaning there are queues or you have to wait until they open again ,not the best time slot to be honest and even after waiting dont be surprised to find a male cleaning them after you've waited at 1 pm .There is no order or structure in place.We emailed Torean after 2 days and requested a refund and got no response adding to our frustration.2 days before our departure we were approached by someone from the campsite who demanded I take my review of the above points down or leave the site immediately with no refund ! We objected to this and informed him of our previous email which they had received but not read.i took my review down under duress as we were leaving within 48 hours anyway.A lady from their sister company that runs the RUV site came to see us and agreed to refund our site fees for the day we spent trying to sort out wifi ,this was not honored.If you only want to spend one night here it is ok however beware paying upfront as they are unprofessional and you will not get your money back

All the details on this site are wrong it’s very much child friendly and most definitely NOT a nudist camp it’s super clean and extremely friendly staff that’s why so many of us keep returning.aweful campers stay away!!!

BE WARNED - This is not a nice campsite. The wardens are the most rude and unpleasant we have ever experienced. The security is poor, no barrier or proper locking gates. The facilities are poor - loose toilet seats, showers held together with \'gaffer tape\' and a disgusting chemical dispersal point. We were glad to leave.
