We stayed here for 1night. When we arrived early the camp was empty. We we told no bar, so we walked into small town to get drink. By the time we got back camp was filling up. We feel it\'s a pity because this could be a lovely camp, big pitches, but facilities are as described before. Showers are fierce, not very private. A pity they are relying on Córdoba as the attraction. Also no hot water for washing dishes.
Stayed here for four nights and having read the reviews it came as expected. Appears to be wanting some investment and more attention. The bar is closed and the toilets and showers not welcoming. Could be a great little site and would happen with new enthusiastic owners. The current owner was pleasant and helpful but perception was he is wanting to retire. Villafranca is a nice town with all you need. Bus to Córdoba from the town and inexpensive.
Really poor shower and toilet facilities. Plots also need attention as ground wet.
Very noisy families camping with children screaming until midnight and site management took no action.
I'm afraid this is a very overpriced campsite, even the lowest acsi rate would be too much. Poor showers with only luke warm water, you are given info stating that when there are low numbers of people in the campsite it can take longer for hot water to appear, it never appeared. Some door locks non functional. Only one toilet roll holder per gender for the whole site, toilet seats missing. Only access to toilets and shower across muddy road, no gravel or Tarmac so vehicle churned up road. Pitches nice and large but too many had overhanging branches scraping on roof. Will not return.
Over priced for an acsi site. Visited may acsi sites with much better value for money. Pitch good size. Nothing open. Luckily village had a few cafés open, useful when waiting for the bus to Córdoba. Showers cool even after a long run, button on shower only lasted 10sec, bad enough for a man but for a woman washing hair it must be really infuriating.
Very quiet during our 2 night stay. Good location for visiting Cordoba. The staff were all very friendly and the campsite was nicely laid out and kept in good order. The toilet and shower facilities were clean and functional. Push button shower didn't stay on for long so a bit anoying but not a big problem.
stayed here for a night before going into cordoba and the lady was very helpful and rang the lovely vet in Villafranca so our dog could have his health check before we return to uk so recommend it if you need a vet !
We have been 3 times to this camping site and we will return again - but - the toilet facilities are poor. We usually are amongst the first in in the morning to visit the facilities and the push button controls for the shower are positioned so that you are in line with the 'cold' water for so long before any warm water appears that you almost give up and wash in the caravan sink! In fact the only way to fault the site concerns the showers, toilet lights, outside taps and electric outlets.
All the above are push button! The water in the morning takes 5 minutes to reach the showers, the lights go off before your shower is complete leaving you in total darkness, you will find it most difficult to fit a hose to the outside taps to fill your Aquaroll and to get connected to the electricity entails finding a man to plug you in (and, at the end of your stay, finding him again to unplug you!).
But, having said that, we will come again!!!!
Wide, shady pitches with a nice pool that was open in early June. The staff were helpful and friendly. The showers/toilet facilities were good but might be different in cooler weather. Close to the motorway and easy to find, nest to a lovely little town. I took the bus into Cordoba from town, it took 35/40 minutes each way and cost 2.80 Euros each way. We would return here.
Very peaceful campsite but noise does travel so pick your spot carefully! Largest pitch we have come across in Spain. Good cycling country. Drove into Cordoba 10 mins on the motorway. Pity the snack bar/restaurant wasn't open as there was nowhere locally to have a meal. Biggest fault was the showers, sounds petty but when you have to keep pushing a stiff button every 12 seconds to try to get some hot water through, it becomes very annoying and painful on the thumb!!, our only real complaint! Apart from the pesky little flies everywhere!
