You camp here at about twenty minutes' walk from Trevélez, a small white mountain village in Andalusia situated at an altitude of 1,476 metres. Yes, here you are at the foot of the Sierra Nevada. And at the highest campsite in Spain! Incidentally, this does mean that you can only reach this place with a strong (towing) car or motorhome. The area is very isolated, which makes it nice and quiet.

Elevated campsite (over 1500 metres) at the Alpujarra side of Sierra Nevada. Located on a mountain slope. Flat pitches, panoramic view and lively hiking area, with or without guide. Approx. 20 minutes on foot from Trevélez.

The camping is very nice located at 1560 meters. From the camping you can visit Trevélez itself and be impressed by all the hams you can see and tast. It is also a good placeto visit beatifull villages in the environment like Pampaniera.

Although still on winter hours the young lady serving in the reception/shop and also behind the bar/restaurant was very helpful.
