Camping La Sierrecilla is situated some 70 kilometres from the Spanish south coast, right in between the cities of Sevilla, Málaga, Granada and Cordoba. The camping site, overlooking the vineyards of a wooded hill, is open and uncluttered. Children can play to their heart's content in the beautiful swimming pool and on the ropes course. The facilities on the camping site, such as the sanitary facilities, are modern, but maintenance could be improved upon in places. Because of its favourable location, the camping site is particularly suitable for excursions to one of the Spanish cities.
Sunny and shaded pitches
The camping site is mostly flat and orderly. The camping site has some 120 touring pitches, which can be reached via well-maintained pathways. Many of the pitches are located in the sun, while others are shaded by trees or shadecloths. The sun can get rather hot there, hence a pitch in the shade is not a mere luxury. On the perimeter of the camping site are a few chalets and bungalows constructed in the same style as the reception building.
Centrally located on the camping site you will find the beautiful swimming pool with an adjacent toddler pool. Safe for children as there is always a pool attendant on duty. You can soak up the sun on the (really green) lawn around the pool. Please note: the swimming pool is open from June through September. Therefore, if you stay here in the low season, the swimming pool will probably be closed.
Climbing wall and zip-line
Children can thoroughly enjoy themselves on camping site La Sierrecilla. Besides the offered entertainment, the ropes course is especially popular: here they can play the hero on a climbing wall, dangling rope bridges and an exciting zip-line.

A nice campsite but as we were there in the off season, only the basic facilities were open. Suitable for people who like to enjoy walks in nature (or cycle) but not much else going on.
The toilet facility was clean. The pitches were spacious and some of them in the shade of trees, the plugs were near the pitch so you don’t need long cabels. The swimming pool looked nice but we didn’t try as we came late, the swimming pool is open from 11 till 20. The guy at the reception was helpful and nice, the reception in summer was open till 8 p.m. The Wi-Fi is not covered at the whole campsite.
Had not planned any meals as the camp was advertised as having a bar and resturant. Unfortunatly both were closed. Informed by unhelpfull staff that there were restaurants in the village. Must have walked at least 2ks before we came accross a tapas bar with little to offer.
Nice campsite but you really need a car to get around
We stayed here for 3 nights in the middle of January. The plot sizes are good but the entire site hasn't been well maintained. Shower block is basic but did have hot water as did the washing up sinks. Only one washing machine which was a bit temperamental. Lake nearby for an easy walk with a good interpretation centre.
Humilladero is a good base for visiting Antequera and El Torcal, a real stunning place to visit. Staff are friendly and helpful. The site is still quite new and being developed further, there's not as much hedging and other planting around as some other sites. Pitches are good size and easy to access. Shower facilities good.
Lovely clean site with big pitches, quiet day and night. Great showers. Staff friendly and helpful. Good area for walking and relaxing. Humilladero lake is a must for bird lovers.
We used this site as a stopover for 1 night - they accepted ACSI. It is easy access. Showers/toilets had an 'end of season' feel about them. The water was hot for the showers and washing up facilities. Lovely pool area. The restauarant was closed. We were out of season and would return.
A very nice site, quiet mid week off season. Friendly and helpful staff in reception and at the restaurant. Swimming pool very good. Nice walks locally into pine woodland. Avoid the pitches under the shade of strawberry trees which drop fruit, which is a little messy.
Very helpful staff. Excellent modern toilet facilities. Well maintained pitches. Moderately priced restaurant. Very pleasant swimming pool area. A good walk to town but not too strenuous
