One of our favourite campsites, wonderful setting and surrounding area - our second visit here and we\'ll be back again. Very friendly, good sized pitches, excellent facilities.
The restaurant has not been excellent (as described by you) for several years.
Bar food this year acceptable.
Staff inefficient (except one girl).
Reception staff unfriendly and unhelpful.
Campsite grounds are excellent and well maintained.
Lovely campsite, in wonderful location in the Pyrenees. The facilities are all fairly new and in good condition, there is a bar and restaurant and a small minimarket. We were there in May so the choice was limited but you can order bread the day before. Great views. Easy walk into nearby town and several good walks from the site, as well as a short drive away,
A disappointment after reading the other reviews.
Nice staff and sanitary block, bar and restaurant
BUT BUT BUT
pitches badly maintained
they had rain and there were deep ruts with puddles and no attempt to repair them.
Many permanent caravans with awnings were filthy and not looked after. They should make it a rule that if they have long term caravans and awnings that they should be kept clean. There were some nice pitches when we wlaked around but this are was blocked up as they were expecting a rally from Netherlands.
I hope they learn that not looking after tourers properly can be bad business as they will get bad reviews.
Ok for an overnight stop or if you can get a nice pitch on the lower area away from the permanent filthy caravans.
Nice area to visit. Nice bar/restaurant and another just a short walk to Gavin village.
A great disappointment from Camping Red
Lovely quiet campsite in the foothills of the Pyrenees
Charming site. Every pitch is south facing with a view. Immaculately kept grounds with mature deciduous trees allowing shade in summer and light in winter. Showers and toilets were warm and spotless. The bar was warm and friendly with an open fire. Although little English was spoken, we got on fine with \"Google Translate\" app. The husband and wife team who run the bar were extremely generous and kind to us.
Wonderful as always! Little to fault on this campsite. I n a great location with good facilities and helpful staff.
We visited in late September. Site almost empty. Facilities excellent and nice walks from the site. The GR 15 runs along the track below the site. The restaurant was closed but the bar meals were excellent.
Friendly staff and spectacular scenery. Toilet and shower facilities excellent and spotlessly clean. Pitches are on the small side (our motorhome is 7.9 metres long) and we found it difficult to find a pitch we could fit on and also to get between overhanging branches of the trees. No privacy hedging around the pitches. We ate in the cafe as we had our dog with us and had to sit outside (not possible on outward trip due to a 12 hour electrical storm). The food was good and the waitress very helpful. Having stayed here twice, we would not stay again due to the small pitch size and overhanging trees.
Avery pleasant campsite located in the mountains and only a few kilometres from the French border and skiing resorts. Helpful and friendly reception staff. The site is terraced and well laid out. The toilet facilities are excellent with large shower cubicles, plenty of hot water and very clean and well maintained.
The restaurant was closed but the cafeteria provided very good and reasonably priced meals.
