City campsite Fuentes Blancas is ideally located for a visit to Burgos, a city steeped in history, evidenced today by a baroque cathedral and impressive archaeological museum. From the camping site you can cycle to the city centre along the beautiful Arlazón river. There is also a beach in the vicinity.
Shaded by deciduous trees
The camping site is mainly frequented by camping guests wanting to visit Burgos or for overnight accommodation. You can choose your own pitch on the woody, neat-looking grounds, which are level and offer ample shade. This is as a result of the many deciduous trees. The pitches are located on turf in rows along paved roads. Rental bungalows are available, if you do not have a tent, caravan or motorhome.
Shallow swimming pool
The rectangular (shallow) swimming pool in full sun is located in a corner of the camping site. The area around the swimming section is tiled. There are no loungers or sun umbrellas, but you can bring your own camping chair. There is a playground for children. Entertainment is offered in high season.
Reasonably priced dishes
The camping site has a bar-restaurant and a small shop. Each day, the restaurant offers one or two local dishes of good quality, which taste even better because they are reasonable in price. It can get pretty busy over weekends. Adjacent to the camping site is a large public barbecue area. The camping site shop stocks a reasonable selection. There is also a bread service.
The sanitary facilities are fine and are continuously kept spick and span. There are five ablution blocks spread over the camping grounds with facilities for babies.

Despite some negative comments by other reviewers we found this site to be absolutely fine. Flat pitches, nice bar and restaurant on site. The 40 min walk/cycle alongside the river into Burgos is delightful, as is the town, with an impressive cathedral, a castle and many bars and restaurants. The toilet block, although slightly tired, always had ample hot water and was very clean.
A pleasant site very close to beautiful Burgos. Shower room was very cold but temperatures dropped to freezing so understandable food was really fabulous and very cheap. All in all a good stay
Campsite is very convenient for Burgos, on a cycle path along the river. Staff very helpful. Pitches are not massive but adequate in size. Good motorhome service point.
This is the second time we have stayed at this campsite. Ideal location for the ferry ports and also for visiting the city of Burgos. Easy access for 8m long motorhome. Transit site so not much privacy between pitches. You select where you want to pitch up. Shower blocks basic and could do with a refurb and a really good deep clean; plentiful hot water though.
Cycle route into the city or bus outside the campsite.
We didn\'t eat in the restaurant this time but enjoyed our meal the last time we stayed.
We stayed at this site for 2 nights en route to the south of Spain. A good level site; toilets old but clean; excellent waste water/ chemical toilet disposal point. Good free WiFi. Good restaurant and bar which seemed to be very popular with local residents (on the Sunday we were there).
Stay for one night each year on our way south. Friendly staff. We were to late for menus Del dia on our arrival at 3pm. The guy in the bar couldn’t have been more helpful. We ended up with a lovely hot snack type meal.
Nothing to much trouble
Plenty of room on pitches to stay hooked up overnight. Showers only just warm so we avoided those
Not the prettiest of campsites but perfectly functional as a waypoint or overnight stop travelling north or south. Easy access to campsite and only a handful of campers this time of year so you take your pick of pitches. Getting rid of grey waste and filling up on fresh water is easily accessible as well, with the service point tucked away behind the facility blocks.
As it’s so empty, the dog was happy playing ball at the one end of the park as it’s just a big open field. Would definitely stay again as an ‘en route’ site.
We stayed here on our way down to the south of Spain. The first night was so enjoyable we decided to stay another night and have rest day to recover from the long day previously. The sit was easily found using their co-ordinates in the ACSI book
Have stayed here many times - usually 1 night enroute from the Northern Spanish ports. This time 2 nights so visited Burgos - Bus stps outside the gates briliant service
Excellent site when arriving from the ferry. Good price, quiet site off season. Restaurant open from 7.0pm, excellent menu of the day. Dated but very good clean shower facilities. Cold water only problem but easily managed. Burris easy drive away, magnificent Cathedral & lovely walking town. Very pleasant stay, shall return with caravan.
