Lovely quiet campsite with a spacious pitch. However, having been told by the lady in reception that we could pitch anywhere, we set up our Folding Camper and then found there was no electricity. Having gone back to reception we were told that the area we had pitched in had the electricity switched off on that side of the campsite but had failed to tell us this at the time. We had to take it all down and start again. She failed to mention this when telling us we could choose anywhere. The swimming pool was advertised as being open but had been drained for the season when we got there.
It is a very small, but concise camping. The pool was clean, but the water was very cold. The receptionist was very kind.
Delightful site about 5k outside of Slamanca, so perfect for visiting the beautiful city by bus (which regularly passes the site) or car. The lady in reception is extremely friendly and informative and the site is tidy and clean. All the facilities are old but very clean and work. Most pitches are shaded and of various sizes so getting a camper van in was no problem. would definitely recommend this site and we will return as it's also well placed for a stop over, as it's just off the A66.
Well situated for a stop over en route north or south. Easy to find, even in the dark. Staff friendly and helpful and speak English. Campsite well laid out, but a bit tight in places, and we managed to get stuck in the mud due to heavy rain - so be careful where you park
Great campsite, easy to find & it's quite small so not overcrowded. Yes there is noise from the nearby motorway but it's not intrusive.
Nice owner who speaks good English.
The loo block is a bit ancient but it's clean & the showers are hot even though in the ladies the taps are not underneath the shower meaning that it's a little difficult to regulate the temperature.
There's all the usual waste & chemical loo facilities.
The small swimming pool is bliss after a day's sightseeing in Salamanca!
The bus to Salamanca stops outside...make sure that you stand on the campsite side as it will be coming from your left.
Will definitely use this site again.
This is a convenient site when travelling north / south in western Spain. The bus stops right outside the site to take you to the lovely city of Salamanca. Mature trees give good shade to the good sized pitches. Nice pool.
A very good stop over site but not an easy site to find even with instructions from the book and gps. There is a bus stops outside the campsite gate to go into Salamanca.
If one can put up with the noise of the motorway then its ok. It is convenient for visiting Salamanca as bus stop outside campsite.
This is an ok campsite very handy to the motorway and run by a very helpful lady and a few minutes drive to Salamanca town centre. Free wifi is available but limited in distance from the office. A small investment would provide full coverage and hope she can be encouraged to do this. Little things make such a difference. A bus ride for under a couple of Euros into town where we enjoyed a couple of beers in the beautiful Baroque styled Plaza Mayor.
The staff here were so helpful. When we visited they had just experienced torrential rainfall and they went out of their way to ensure that our motorhome did not become bogged down. Everyone arriving was placed carefully on stony pitches. Ideally placed for a visit to Salamanca, the bus stopped just outside the site.
