This is an enormous site where it’s easy to get lost on the long walk to and from the reception; you could walk up to a kilometre to get to the popular noisy restaurant and back! WiFi has to be paid for, but there are excellent facilities and a site shop with food specially brought in for British campers: baked beans, ambrosia creamed rice pudding, Aunt Bessie’s apple pies, chips, fish fingers, etc. All good for long-termers, along with the free DVD and book swaps available! Although listed under Crevillente/Alicante it is some 10 miles from the coast in an area of parched empty farmland. For a short visit, the ACSI low season rate included just 4kWh of electricity a day, with any excess metered. Strangely, the normal low season rate, including unmetered power, was less, so we took that, thanks to the advice of the helpful Reception staff! You need some heating on at this time of year! The surrounding area has no attractive features and it's a long way from the beach.
