This campsite is located within walking distance of the beach town of Peñíscola. The historic city centre (which is built on a peninsula), the long sandy beach and the pleasant boulevard make this one of the most beautiful seaside resorts in Spain. Moreover, Camping El Cid is located on the edge of the Sierra de Irta: an impressive nature reserve where you can enjoy hiking and mountain biking. The campsite features a good restaurant with local specialities, a nice outdoor swimming pool and a programme of activities during the high season.

Stayed for three nights as a base to visit Peñiscola. Very welcoming receptionist let us have a walk round and choose our pitch. All pitches looked level and had privacy from next pitch with hedges. The services were spotless and the pool also. Plenty of sunbeds and parasols. The bar was good and the food also, and fairly cheap. Would definitely recommend.

Nice place for the price. Good sanitary facilities, restaurant, swimming pool. Excellent one night stopover.
