One of the nicest sites we have ever stayed at.
Access from the motorway is fairly straightforward. Ten minutes maximum. On arrival outside the gates, I think that the idea is that you park up out of the way and check in. This was not obvious and we were forced to negotiate several rather inconsiderately parked cars. Checking in was friendly and relaxed, despite two impatient long term residents.
The initial pitch offered was too small and when the receptionist saw the size of our caravan, she found us a different pitch, which was much larger. My advice would be to specify the size of your caravan/motorhome/tent in your initial communication. Check the pitch markings at reception which are somewhat ambiguous. The site is partially shaded with trees, and bordered with hedging and shrubbery for privacy.
The site is very quiet considering its proximity to the town of Rolle. The toilets are modern and clean. There is a pleasant little shop, which supplies many basic necessities and where you can order bread. Within a few hundred yards of the entrance is a supermarket as well. The EHU was some distance on our pitch, but just within our 30m cable length. Most other pitches are nearer to a hook up box. The amperage coped with a kettle and a toaster, so no problems there.
The setting is astonishingly beautiful. It is lakeside to Lac Leman with a backdrop of the Alps on the other side of the lake. The weather during our time there was clear skies and hot sun with temperatures well in excess of 30 deg. There is a small footbridge in the northwest corner of the site which leads to Rolle beach. The beach has boats and peddalos for hire and has a large area of grass for sunbathing and BBQs. Swimming is fantastic, with the water being warm in August. The ground underfoot in the lake is occasionally stony, but whenever we swim in lakes, we wear water shoes so no problem for us there.
There is loads to do for adults and children. Locally, the extensive vineyards produce wonderful Swiss white wines. South of Rolle there are many small producers who offer tastings. Many of the villages have small restaurants where you must try the locally caught Perch. Apart from Geneva & Lausanne, the towns of Morges & Nyon are worth a visit and you must take the boat from Nyon across the lake to Yvoire Heading south into the Jura mountains is also an excellent day out.
Definitely coming back to this site.
