Don’t be put off by the appearance of this site as the numerous ‘winterised’ caravans give this site a ramshackle appearance from the outside. It is well equipped and the toilet and shower facilities are good. The restaurant is a bit disappointing as we had been looking forward to our first ‘bratty and chips’ in some years and it was poor, the restaurant only takes cash. A really good bread and pastries stall is at the front gate every morning. The lake opposite is good for swimming and there are good cycle paths in all directions. We stayed for 2 nights and would happily stay again if in the area.
