Camping Balaton Eldorado

I've visited Eldorado Campsite several times since 2016, both for longer stays and for a short stopover on my way to Croatia. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant was delicious, and the wine was excellent. The quiet town of Badacsony is a few kilometers away. It's a charming place for walks among the vineyards nestled on the slopes of the Badacsony mountain/volcano, where you can taste and buy excellent local wine at attractive prices. The campsite has a small swimming pool with pleasant water. The toilets are clean and the showers always have hot water. The campsite has direct access to the lake. The bottom is quite muddy and unpleasant, but nearby, on the paid municipal beach, there is a separate sunbathing area and a sandy lakebed. Nearby are the ruins of Szigliget Castle and the town of Keszthely, with its palace and park complex.
