We spent 13 nights here in our Motorhome just before the high season started. We were very pleasantly surprised at the high standards of the camp site in general, which had lots of facilities if you want to take advantage of them. The camping pitches were very generous & some were extremely large and had plenty of opportunities for a peaceful place to camp if you wished. The toilet facilities were numerous and very good, they had a team of cleaners visiting all 6 locations around the site throughout the full day as well as gardeners managing the whole area. Devon is hilly but from the camp site the walk into Dawlish Warren or Dawlish was easily managed. There were busses from both sides of the camp site to access easily Paignton or Exeter in either direction and trains were plentiful at both towns. Getting to Plymouth was easy by train & the day rider passes on both modes of transport allowed you to get on and off between places. During the week days the camp site was very quiet and only a little more active at a weekend when many families come for the weekend as seasonal campers or just touring. There were lots of static mobile homes here too, so were very luxurious with hot tub and sun deck! The supermarket on site was pretty well stocked for a camp site but a large Sainsbury\'s supermarket is only about 5 minutes walk from the site entrance. A large, but good site, for those without transport. No motorhome water/waste facilities & leveling ramps will be needed. Without exception all the staff were very friendly and obliging, a real credit to the family owned site.
A large site so it gives you the opportunity to be in with the action or a quiet location out of the way. Plenty of choice on views and type of pitch. Toilets are clean and plentiful. On site entertainment is all in one area so if you want to avoid it its easy to camp at the other side. Good location and easy walk to the beach (steep hill back). Clean site.
We have visited Lady's Mile on four occasions over the past three years, both on our own and with friends and have always enjoyed ourselves - large pitches, helpful staff, convent location for walking and buses to nearby towns, plus very good swimming pools, both of which are heated to a good temperature. The ACSI price makes the site a real bargain, especially in early July, and we shall certainly be visiting again in 2014.
We stayed 5 nights as a base to visit Dawlish ~ a beautiful south Devon seaside town. It is a very big site - divided into fields - with many \\\"seasonal\\\" caravans set up in dedicated locations. The tourer pitches are very generous ~ we had ample room for our 7.3m motorhome + Safari room. Numerous toilet blocks are located at strategic points around the site. The one we used, however, could have been better with minor renovations and repairs. It was possible to get very hot water in the showers and wash basins, and in the washing up areas ~ excellent! The launderette facilities were good and reasonably priced. BUT the elecricity was metered and we were not given a meter card. However there was ample electricity still on the hook-up we used! A very good bus service outside the campsite into Dawlish, Exeter and other places. A superstore within easy walking distance.
Nice clean site, very spacious pitches, excellent indoor and outdoor swimming pools, toilet & showers clean and up to date. Convenient location for surrounding area and public transport, good shopping nearby.
I have read various reviews of this campsite before trying it myself. you cannot please everyone all of the time. I have just spent 2 weeks on the site. and found the staff very helpfull. also the shop carries a multitude of camping accesories. also very helpfull staff in the shop. swimming pools superb. And come midnight was as quiet as a mouse. considering it was the end of July with all those wonderfull kids + teenagers. About. hey, we were all young once. So in my opinion a very well run site with spacious pitches and lots of things to do. And I will be returning soon. If you want more than this site has to offer, go find a nice 5 star hotel. Be happy, from a happy caravaner.
